BIOGRAPHY

Tess Stevens grew up dancing in upstate New York. Starting at the age of four years old she studied tap, jazz, and ballet and her love of dance continued to grow. As Tess grew older, both her love of dance flourished and her found passion for musical theater as well. Alongside her dance training she took up participating in local musical theater productions, vocal training, and acting lessons. Tess later received the opportunity to perform at The Egg Theater in Albany, New York in West Side Story as a Shark ensemble member. Throughout highschool she assisted her teachers, conducting classes for aspiring ballet and jazz students ages 6-9. Tess also had the opportunity to choreograph Cinderella and the Drowsy Chaperone for local highschools during her senior year of education. After highschool, Tess went to further her dance education at Boston Conservatory at Berklee College of Music, studying a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Contemporary Dance Performance. During this time she has trained in ballet, modern, jazz/musical theater, tap, hip hop, heels, and voice. During her free time she volunteers to teach Tik Tok dances to children ages 3-18 working through the Ryan Seacrest Foundation. When Tess isn’t in school she loves to spend her summers studying in various places. In summer 2021 she attended the Steps on Broadway Contemporary Intensive in New York City, Boston Conservatory's Beyond Walls in a leadership position, and a scholarship recipient for the Gus Giordano College Pro Intensive in Chicago.
